St. Joe’s Baseball Club Triumph Over bankESB

 

bankESB opened the scoring in the first after Jackson Petrin induced Florek to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored

St. Joe’s jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Pat Fitzgibbons singled down the right field line, Brandon Magni grounded out, and Joey DiMichele tripled to center field, each scoring one run.

 

bankESB tied the game at three on a ground out by Moltenbrey.

 

St. Joe’s reclaimed the lead, 5-3, in the bottom of the fifth after Bobby Trigilio singled down the left field line, and Colby Harrington grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run

 

Petrin started on the mound for Joe’s. The left-handed pitcher surrendered two hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking two.

 

Caldarella stepped on the hill first for bankESB. The starter allowed five hits and three runs over three innings, striking out four and walking one.

Jake Petrin and Matt Irzyk each threw shutout innings for St. Joe’s in relief.
