BankESB Secures Tense Victory in Pitcher's Duel - Take 1-0 Series Lead

The diamond at St. Joseph's Field was the stage for a classic pitcher's duel today, as the home team St. Joseph's Saints fell to a determined BankESB squad, 3-2. The contest was a low-scoring affair defined by strong performances on the mound and timely hitting.

Jack Feltovic, starting for the Saints, delivered a complete game, going seven innings and fanning five batters. However, the game's decisive moment came in the second inning when BankESB's Lenfest connected for a two-run single, capitalizing on a crucial error that allowed a third run to score. This single sequence proved to be the difference maker.

BankESB's Phaneuf was equally impressive, earning the win after pitching a complete game of his own. The right-hander surrendered only five hits and one earned run while striking out six and walking three, consistently keeping the Saints' lineup in check.

Despite a valiant effort to rally, with Dillon Slattery leading the Saints with two hits and Bobby Trigilio driving in a run, the home team was unable to overcome the early deficit. BankESB's Arooth and Palmer also contributed with two hits each, reinforcing the strength of their lineup.
