Secures 12th Straight TCL Crown with 10–7 Win Over Saints
Rivest Leads Offense as Title Streak Continues at St. Joseph’s Field
EAST WINDSOR, Conn., July 29, 2025 — PeoplesBank cemented its dynasty in the Tri-County League on Tuesday night, claiming its 12th consecutive TCL championship with a hard-fought 10–7 victory over the St. Joseph’s Saints at St. Joseph’s Field.
The title-clinching win was powered by a balanced offensive attack and a strong bullpen effort. Rivest led the way at the plate, collecting three hits and driving in three runs. MacDonald added two hits and two RBIs, while Ferry chipped in with a hit and two more runs batted in. Rivera added three hits of his own and an RBI, and Clark contributed with an RBI single.
After falling behind early, PeoplesBank rallied to take control, with Gaines delivering 3.1 innings on the mound to earn the win. Merced followed in relief, tossing 3.2 innings to earn the save and shut the door on the Saints’ comeback hopes.
Jackson Petrin took the loss for St. Joseph’s, who pushed across seven runs but couldn’t overcome PeoplesBank’s timely hitting and shutdown relief work.
With the victory, PeoplesBank continues its unprecedented championship streak, extending its TCL dominance to a full dozen seasons.
