A pitcher's duel through four — Garfield triples to tie it in the second, Loos works five innings and earns the win in the front end of a Hopkins Academy split

Turners Falls got on the board first in the bottom of the first — Cal Bullens was hit by a pitch and Marshall Ingram walked, each scoring a run to give the home club a 2–0 lead before bankESB had settled in. But ESB answered in the second when Emmett Garfield — batting ninth in the order — tripled to center field to drive in two and knot the game at two. From there, neither side could find the go-ahead run until the fifth, when Grayson Loos lifted a sacrifice fly to give bankESB the lead for good, 3–2.

Loos then shut the door on the mound. He worked all five innings, allowing three hits and the two early runs while striking out six and walking five — a win that doubled as a strong pitching performance despite the pedestrian walk total. TJ Thibeault started for Turners Falls and gave up two runs on six hits over four frames; Hugh Cyhowski came on in relief and took the loss after allowing a run in one inning. Albert Calderon paced ESB offensively with two hits from the leadoff spot, and Garfield's triple was the biggest swing of the afternoon. On the bases, Turners Falls was active with five stolen bases, Maleek McMillan accounting for two, but ESB's defense held firm behind Loos to secure the opener.

Jake Perkins earned the win on the mound for the home club, while Joshua Pacho took the loss for bankESB. With the split, both clubs leave Monday's twin bill without a full-day advantage — Turners Falls with the momentum of a comeback split, bankESB with the comfort of a road opener win.
